Long Fin Betta
Long
Fin Bettas are also commonly referred to as Veiltail
Bettas. They are the Bettas commonly found in your local
pet shop and are probably the most popular aquarium fish of all time.
With years of selective breeding, the three unpaired fins; the dorsal, anal, and caudal or tail fin, have been
increased in length to be more long and flowing (like a veil).
This term can be used for the Veiltail, the Halfmoon, and the various degress of Delta
tails.
This common mutation causes the other fins of the Betta
to be elongated and much larger than the short fins of the wild
types.
